1. Scope
This policy applies to Header Profiles - HTTP Header Switcher (the “extension”). The extension lets you create profiles containing HTTP request or response header rules and URL matching conditions for development, testing, and debugging.
2. Information stored locally
The extension stores only the settings you intentionally create in the extension, including profile names, header names and values, rule operations, enablement states, URL matching conditions, your interface language preference, and rule application status. Application status includes local request identifiers, validation results, and the last apply outcome so the extension can distinguish saved settings from successfully applied rules. Depending on what you enter, header values may contain authentication information such as an API key or authorization token.
The extension does not automatically read or record your browsing history, web page content, form data, passwords, cookies, or request and response bodies.
3. How information is used
Your settings are used only to create the browser rules you enable. These rules can add, append, remove, or modify HTTP headers for the URLs you specify. They are not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to this functionality.
4. No external collection or sharing
The extension does not operate a server and does not transmit your profiles, header values, URL rules, browsing activity, or page content to the developer or any third party. It does not sell, rent, share, or use your data for advertising.
5. Storage and your controls
Settings are stored in your current Chrome profile using Chrome’s local extension storage. They remain there until you edit or delete them, clear the browser profile data, or uninstall the extension. You can also export a backup or import a backup using the controls in the extension.
Do not store passwords, long-lived access tokens, or other highly sensitive secrets in header rules. You are responsible for the values you add and the websites to which you apply them.
6. Permissions

- Applies the header rules you explicitly enable.
- Host access
- Lets you apply a rule to the websites you choose. The extension does not use this access to collect website content.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
